Gang went on crime spree in south of Tenerife
National Police have detained four young people between 19 and 24 years of age who were allegedly part of a group specialised in robberies in 24-hour establishments or mini-casinos located in the towns of Arona and Adeje.
The detainees are accused of four crimes of robbery with violence, all committed at dawn before the coronavirus curfew and all following the same pattern.
The alleged assailants divided the tasks and broke into the premises using knives to intimidate their victims and commit robberies, even resorting to physical violence.In addition, clients inside were also subject to thefts.
After the relevant investigation, the National Police identified five young people who, allegedly, had participated in the commission of the crimes and who in total seized more than 7,000 euros.
Four of them, between 19 and 24 years of age, were arrested and placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority, which determined the entry into prison of one of them.
