Arona opens all its main beaches today for phase 3 

Arona council, to coincide with the start of phase 3 of the de-escalation, has opened practically all its beaches today, maintaining the safety and sanitary measures required by the State.

During the weeks that the beaches of Las Vistas, Los
Cristianos, Las Galletas and Playa Honda have been open, Arona has been one of
the coastal tourist municipalities most visited by Tenerife residents to enjoy
its beaches.

El Callao, Los Tarajales, El Camisón, Los Enojados and La
Arenita now join the three beaches mentioned above. The rest of the bathing
areas and small coves are being prepared for their next opening.

“We have always given priority to the safety and health
of the users of our beaches, of our citizens,” said the Mayor of Arona,
José Julián Mena, “so we did not want to rush when opening our coastline .
We have been through complicated months. Now, with the entry of Arona and the
rest of the Canary Islands in phase 3 of de-escalation, little by little we are
entering the so-called new normality and the opening of our beaches is one more
step that not only expands leisure and local tourism , but it gives a boost to
the business fabric of our municipality. ”

El Callao Beach

El Callao beach will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for
sunbathing, bathing, walking and doing individual water sports activities
without physical contact. It must be taken into account that there will be no
lifeguard service, so its use and activities are under the personal
responsibility of the users, who must maintain the safety distance (two
metres). Access or stay on the beach outside the established hours will not be
allowed.

Las Vistas Beach

Las Vistas continues with a maximum capacity of 2,125
people, maintaining the safety distance between users of two metres, divided by
sectors (two people maximum and five people maximum), in addition to having an
exclusive plot for people over 70 and people with reduced mobility in the
shaded area of ​​the beach. The opening hours are from 11.00 to 19.00 for
sunbathing, bathing, walking and any individual aquatic activity without
physical contact such as swimming. From 08:00 to 12:30 and from 15:30 to 20:00,
only people accredited by the Royal Spanish and Canary Islands Beach Volleyball
Federation may use the space provided for this sport. No one will be able to
access or stay on the beach after the established hours to facilitate cleaning
and disinfecting it.

Los Cristianos Beach

Los Cristianos beach, with a capacity of 728 people,
maintaining the safety distance between users of two metres and divided into
sectors (two people maximum and five people maximum), continues to be open from
dawn until 11:00 am for individual water sports without physical contact such
as sailing, windsurfing or paddle SUP. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the beach will
be open for sunbathing, bathing, walking and any individual water activity
without physical contact (swimming). In the space enabled for sports activity,
only those accredited for said activity, federated and professional, will be
able to access the training sessions during the following hours: from 08:00 to
12:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00. You will not be able to access or stay on the
beach after the established hours to facilitate the cleaning and disinfection
of the beach.

Los Tarajales Beach

Los Tarajales beach will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for
sunbathing, bathing, walking and doing individual water sports activities
without physical contact. It must be taken into account that there will be no
lifeguard service, so its use and activities are under the personal responsibility
of the users, who must maintain the safety distance (two metres). Access or
stay on the beach outside the established hours will not be allowed.

El Camisón Beach

El Camisón beach, with a maximum capacity of 300 people
maintaining the safety distance between users of two meters and divided into
sectors (two people maximum and five people maximum), will be open from 11.00
to 19.00 hours for sunbathing, bathing , walk and perform water sports
activities such as swimming. You will not be able to access or stay on the
beach after the established hours to facilitate the cleaning and disinfection
of the beach.

Playa Los Enojados

Los Enojados beach will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for
sunbathing, bathing, walking and doing individual water sports activities
without physical contact. It must be taken into account that there will be no
lifeguard service, so its use and activities are under the personal
responsibility of the users, who must maintain the safety distance (two
metres). Access or stay on the beach outside the established hours will not be
allowed.

Las Galletas Beach

The maximum capacity of Las Galletas beach, maintaining the
safety distance between users of two metres, is 100 people in the central area
and 80 in the area of ​​the Sailing School, divided by sectors (two people
maximum and five people maximum). The opening hours are from dawn to 11:00 am
for individual water sports without physical contact such as sailing,
windsurfing or SUP paddle. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the beach will be open for
sunbathing, bathing, walking and any individual water activity without physical
contact (swimming). Meanwhile, in the puddle area, on the seafront, the maximum
capacity is 40 people (keeping the safety distance between users of two
meters). In this area of ​​Las Galletas, the established opening hours are from
11.00 to 19.00 for bathing, sunbathing, walking and water sports, as well as
surfing. Sports activities carried out outside the lifeguard hours will be
under the personal responsibility of each user. Access or stay on the beach
outside the established hours will not be allowed.

La Arenita beach

La Arenita beach will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for
sunbathing, bathing, walking and doing individual water sports activities
without physical contact. It must be taken into account that there will be no
lifeguard service, so its use and activities are under the personal
responsibility of the users, who must maintain the safety distance (two
metres). Access or stay on the beach outside the established hours will not be
allowed.

Playa Honda (Fitenia, right wave and left wave)

Playa Honda continues limited to the areas of Fitenia, right
wave and left wave. With a maximum capacity of 250 people maintaining the
safety distance between users of two metres, its opening hours are from 11.00
to 19.00 for sunbathing, bathing, walking and any individual aquatic activity
without physical contact such as swimming, in addition to surfing and sport
fishing. Sports activities carried out outside the lifeguard hours will be
under the personal responsibility of each user. Access or stay on the beach
outside the established hours will not be allowed.
