Arona opens two libraries with appointments

The access of the Canary Islands to phase I of de-escalation involves, among other measures, the opening of libraries, guaranteeing security conditions.

For this reason, Arona council will open from Wednesday, May
13, those located in the cultural centres of Los Cristianos and the civic
centre of Cabo Blanco, which can be accessed by appointment for the loan and
return of books. The council recommends the use of masks.

Both can be accessed by appointment, calling 010 and 922 75
70 06. They will be open from 9am to 2pm although in a first phase only for the
loan and return of books, activities that are will be expanding in the coming
weeks.

Before accessing both libraries, the culture department of
Arona council, which is run by Yurena García, will provide gloves for use
indoors and will measure the temperature of the attendees, thus taking
preventive measures. The use of masks is also recommended.

“Culture is a fundamental right whose access we want to
facilitate, with all possible preventive measures, a reason why at first we
will open the two libraries that are in Los Cristianos and Cabo Blanco to go,
later , expanding the offer to all the residents of Arona, ” she explained.
