Four men from La Laguna “caught mocking coronavirus crisis”
The Civil Guard is investigating a 33-year-old person, a resident of the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, as the author of a crime against road safety, for reckless driving and danger to life or the physical integrity of people.
The events occurred March 19th, when the investigated driver and his three companions of 22, 33 and 37 years of age, also residents of the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna and who have been sanctioned for disobeying the authority in accordance to the Royal Decree 463/2020 of the State of Alarm (article 36.6), were driving on a road in the municipality of Tacoronte, while mocking and yelling at residents in relation to the current situation and serious coronavirus crisis.
Their actions were recorded on a mobile phone and the video they recorded was later uploaded to various social networks.
The investigation has been carried out by Civil Guard agents belonging to the Main Post in Tacoronte. The proceedings investigated have been made available to the Court of Instruction of the Guard of San Cristóbal de La Laguna.
