Tram service may be extended to north airport

The possibility of expaning the Santa Cruz tram service to Los Rodeos is going out to public consultation.

The public company Metro-tenerife del Cabildo is to launch an intense information campaign around the project for the extension of Line 1 of the tram to Los Rodeos Air-port.
The aim is to make all the information regarding this initiative available to all citizens of La Laguna and encourage participation in the public consultation that is going to be carried out on this matter, as explained by the first vice president of the Cabildo de Tenerife and Minister of Roads, Mobility and Innovation, Enrique Arriaga.
This process, which will begin in April, has several actions planned that will facilitate communication with the public, including the opening of a permanent in-formation office in the shelter area of the tram stop of avenida de La Trinidad in which all the required information will be offered, in the morning and afternoon. In addition, in-formation offices will be installed in strategic areas of the municipality where the influx of people is important, with specific personnel to inform about the project.
A web page will also be put into operation in which all the information related to the expansion project will be published, to which the constant dissemination will be added through the media and social networks.
Enrique Arriaga said the public’s opinion would be very much welcome although not binding in the final decision.
