Three February treats from Tenerife Symphony Orchestra
Tenerife Symphony Orchestra has put on sale its Winter Ticket, a promotion that includes the three seasonal concerts that the orchestra will perform at the Tenerife Auditorium during the month of February and which are titled Don Quijote and the hero, Schumann II and Concert for Zapata and Orchestra.
This subscription can be purchased through the usual sales, box office and internet channels, until February 6th.
The seventh concert of the Tenerife Symphony season, Don Quijote and the hero will take place on Friday, February 7th, with the baton of its main director, Antonio Méndez, and, as soloists, cellist Raul Mirás with Sviatoslav Belonogov on viola. The programme includes the works Don Quixote, op. 35 and Ein Heldenleben, TrV 190 / op. 40, both by Richard Strauss.
The eighth concert of the 2019-2020 season, under the title of Schumann II, will be held on Friday, February 14th. This proposal will also be directed by Antonio Méndez and will have the violinist Veronika Eberle as soloist. This monograph spot-lights on the opera Genoveva.
On Thursday, February 20th, there will be the last of the concerts of this subscription, Concert for Zapata and Orchestra, which will immerse the audience in the mood of the tenor and conductor José Manuel Zapata. This parody about the labels that weigh on classical music will have the staging of Paco Mir and is based on the shows that actor Danny Kaye took to the American orchestras to join music and comedy.
The Winter Pass can be purchased at the ticket office of the Tenerife Auditorium, from 10am to 7.30pm from Monday to Saturday; by phone at 902 317 327; or online at www.sinfon-icadetenerife.es and www.audit-oriodetenerife.com.
