Friday theatre and dance in Adeje
Theatre and dance has returned to the municipality of Adeje. The XXII Theatre and Dance Show of Adeje started on November 8th and continues until November 29th.
The shows are taking place in the theatre of the cultural centre of Adeje every Friday of November at 8.30pm.
“From Adeje council, we invite all people who love theatre to come and enjoy each of the works that we have brought to the municipality,” said councillor, Clavijo Maza, who also pointed out that “the theatre is very important throughout history and therefore, we will continue to promote it as a fundamental part of the cultural offer. ”
On Friday, November 22nd, “Burka Theater” presents “Borondón is not Isla de Santos”, with the story of Pedro Hernández, the pirate who participated in the conquest of Gran Canaria. Admission is free.
This year, the show will be closed by “Delirium Theater” on Friday, November 29th with “Proyecto Fausto” inspired by the case of the Canarian fishing vessel Fausto, a ship that in 1968 disappeared completely inexplicably while covering the route between the islands of El Hierro and La Palma with three fishermen and a passenger on board.
The work raises the crossing of a lost ship, found and disappeared again at sea up to three times. A story told through the voice of four women condemned to the loneliness of those who wait. To the anguish of never knowing the truth. To the pain of loss. The women of Faust. A tragic and universal feeling, that so many human beings are currently living. Tickets on sale at the Adeje Cultural Centre.
