Sergio stirs consciences with stunning photos
Photographer Sergio Hanquet has been stirring consciences against plastic with an exhibition in London.
The adviser of the Arona Son Atlántico Festival has been showing his underwater images at the ‘London Eco Film Festival’. The event was created to
make the general public more aware of the global environmental instability in which we live.
The photographer showed an impressive collection of 25 large-format images. All the images, some dating back more than ten years, were taken in the Canaries although they could have echoed situations anywhere in the world.
The festival was held in one of London’s most diverse and dynamic art centres, the Rich Mix, with its two conference areas and three cinemas, in which more than 100 films were screened. In the London Eco Film Festival, the main protagonists were the filmmakers, who interpreted and disseminated, through their films, to society, all the knowledge and experiences of scientists, environmentalists and naturalists who study and protect the world in which we live .
