The circuit, where the race will take place, is approved by the Royal Athletics Federation and runs through the Golden Mile of Playa de Las Américas. Five kilometres that will be the scene of hundreds of runners of all ages.
The test is scheduled to begin at 3pm on December 31st with the children’s category. Half an hour later, the cadets will occupy the circuit. The adult category will leave at 4pm, creating an afternoon that will be full of families and tourists cheering for the last sporting event of the year in the municipality of Arona.
The town hall of Arona, through its Sports Board, encourages everyone to participate in this test, which also is a tourist attraction for the municipality, as many runners come from other countries to participate in this annual meeting that marks its fourth year.
It is organised by Arona council together with the Grupasca Sports Commission and the Arona Athletics Club.
Sports councillor Juan Sebastián Roque said: “I would like to appeal to running fans to participate and accompany us in this last sporting event of the year at #Aronadeportes. A race that is the prelude to a special night, where we will change the year, waiting and wishing that the sport be a constant in each day of 2020.”
