La Gomera targets the Benelux countries

La Gomera is to have tourism representation agencies in Benelux (Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg) and France for the first time.

This joins the countries of Germany, Switzerland and Austria, where promotions are already taking place.
Tourism councillor, María Isabel Méndez said tourist representatives will carry out, among others, the organisation and participation of La Gomera in events for the promotion of the destination aimed at the public, the management of press releases in prominent media of the sector in each country, as well as the organisation of press trips to the island.
In addition, they will be responsible for carrying out a follow-up of the denomination, positioning and image of La Gomera in each market, the implementation of advertising insertions and the development of promotional actions on the Internet.
“This is an action that the Cabildo has been developing for several years and is a very powerful tourist promotion tool since it allows the island to be represented in the most important events of this sector, as well as to develop promotional actions more direct, different and personalized, from within the market itself ,” she explained.
