Santiago del Teide sees completion of street remodelling
Improvement works have brought a new look to calle José González González in Santiago del Teide.
Tenerife Cabildo has completed improvements and adaptations which have led to the reorganisation of the road to help both pedestrians and traffic. The budget, which has had an execution period of nine and a half months, has exceeded 820,000 euros.
The finance has been met 90 percent by the Cabildo and ten percent by the council.
Calle José González González is located on the second line of the sea and is parallel to Avenida Marítima, in the nucleus of Puerto Santiago. It has a length of 190 metres and is bounded to the north with calle Caleta de Jurado and to the south with avendia Antonio González Barrios. The total area of the work surface, between the street and the park, is approximately 4,300 square metres.
The project has included wider pavements, better accessibility, redistribution of parking spaces, new street furniture and lighting.
