Guargacho sports court roof to be covered

The Cabildo de Tenerife has approved the project for the execution of the
roof of the sports court in Guargacho (San Miguel de Abona) with an
investment of around 939,000 euros.

The works are part of the Insular Programme for the Improvement and Conditioning of Sports Facilities (PMAID) of the Tenerife 2030 strategy and the Insular Development Strategic Framework (MEDI) and are funded 52 per cent by the island corporation and the rest by the local council.
The project, which has an execution period of eight months once the works have been awarded, contemplates covering the sports court and improving its pavement. Currently there is an open-air sports court that requires the improvement of its facilities to give a greater and better provision for the use of the various sports that take place in it.
The action is part of the Pmaid, an initiative with an investment of more than 10 million euros that includes 76 actions for the reform and improvement of sports facilities during the 2016-2019 period, as well as a strategic framework for activities to promote physical activity.
