Canary government asks public to whistleblow on tax fraud

The Ministry of Finance, through the Canarian Tax Agency (ATC), has enabled a channel in its electronic headquarters so that citizens can file tax denouncements, both anonymously and through an electronic certificate.
“The objective of the initiative is that the population can inform the administration, quickly and easily, of facts or situations that may be constitutive of tax infractions or have consequences for the application of taxes,” a spokesman explained.
Among the complaints that may be presented include irregularities in invoices and undeclared tickets, as well as fraud through sales concealment software, in e-commerce and web fraud or tourist rental. Any of them must include the data of the person denounced and the description of the complaint.
Once the complaint has been received, the ATC will transfer it to the competent body, which will carry out the analysis and, where appropriate, investigation, of the data and facts contained in the complaint, and proceed to file it or at the beginning of the proceedings. necessary if there are indications of possible tax fraud.
The complaint must be filed at the electronic headquarters of the Canarian Tax Agency through the web https://sede.gobcan.es/tributos/jsf/publico/sede/tramites/tramite.jsp?categoria=enuncias.
