Guia de Isora promotes its culinary delights
The popular Ruta de la Tapa is returning to Guía de Isora
The local council’s department of tourism is organising the IX edition of the Ruta de la Tapa Tapeando Isora from November 22nd to December 9th.
The celebration of the route will cover three weeks but the tasting of the tapas in the participating restaurants can only be done on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, that is, on days 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30 of November and 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 and 9 December. Each tapa offered by participating establishments, along with the drink, will have a unique price of € 2.50.
Tourism councillor, José Miguel Mesa, said: “It is an event which aims to revitalise the restaurant sector of the municipality, promoting the culinary wealth of Guía de Isora and tourism activity.”
As a novelty, in this edition there will be parallel activities such as days of Canarian wine tastings of renowned wineries, every Friday of the month of November from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. (except on November 30) in the “Muelle Viejo Restaurant” in Alcalá. Places are limited, so it will require prior registration, by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (+34) 676 050 600. Also on Monday November 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the Alcalá Tourist Office , a “Tasting of Tapas” will behosted by the PFAE of Restauración de Guía de Isora.
The Tapa Route offers interesting prizes. These will go to consumers, who after tasting the dishes must duly complete the brochure with all the requested information that will be deposited in the polls authorised for this purpose, located in establishments attached to the Route, as well as in the Offices of Municipal Tourism. The deadline will be Wednesday, December 12.
To be eligible for prizes, only those booklets duly completed and containing a minimum of ten stamps will be entered into the contest, and the same establishment cannot carry more than one stamp.
