More defibs for Santiago del Teide
The municipality has five new defibrillators placed in several municipal offices.
They were presented by the Mayor, Emilio Navarro and councillor for health, Sergio Mendoza.
These defibs are very easy to use equipment (always under the supervision of the medical staff of the 112 room) and their early use in certain heart attacks is key to the survival of the patient.
They are being placed in Santiago del Teide council offices, the municipal football field of Puerto de Santiago, the Tamaimo social centre, the cultural centre of Arguayo and in the premises of the Local Police.
Next year it is planned to increase the number of defibrillators to reach a greater number of citizens and place them in more municipal offices.
Police and council staff will also receive training in their use.
