Carrera Popular shows its solidarity
El Rosario has once again shown its sporting solidarity following the fourth La Esperanza’s Carrera Popular.
As well as proving a great success, the annual event raised 620 euros for Amate, the Association of Women with Breast Cancer of Tenerife.
The cheque was presented to its president, María del Carmen Bonfante by the councillor of sport, Iván Armas and councillor for social action and equality, Maria de los Angeles Rodriguez.
The money was collected as a result of subscriptions in the adult category which, with 154 runners, proved a record total.
The event was also attended by representatives of the organisation of the race, held on Saturday July 29th, and Conchip Canarias.
