Islands of music, theatre and dance 

The Canaries have turned into “Islands of Music, Theatre and Dance” during June with 22 different shows reaching 19 municipalities.

The circuit has been arranged by the Canary Government through its Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports and continues until June 30th.

The enterprises involved are RC Teatro, Folk Canarias Eventos, Multritrack, Troysteatro, Unahoramenos Producciones, Komba Producciones, Abubukaka, Doble M, Alehop Canarias, Factoría del Arte, Mar Producciones, TrovasietA, Camino Viejo Producciones, Jeito, BColina, LS Producciones, Makaron, Producciones Oye and Amilkilómetros.

There are children’s shows, magic, concerts with traditional Canary instruments, music, humour, plays and singing, with venues both indoors and out.

Eight shows were scheduled for Tenerife, including the spectacular ‘Circundando’ in the Glorieta de San Francisco de Garachico at 6pm on June 18th and ‘Pieles’ in the plaza Franchy Alfaro of La Orotava at 9pm.

The Plaza de San Pedro de El Sauzal will host three shows: the concert of Troveros de Asieta on the 24th at 9.30pm; the children’s ‘Planet Fantasy’ on the 25th at 7.30pm; and the Los Salvapantallas concert on June 29th at 9pm.

Finally, the municipality of San Juan de la Rambla will host the show ‘Uniendo Caminos’, from the Jeita group, on June 27th at 9pm.
