Historic moment as Circle comes back to the Tenerife theatre stage

The Circulo de Bellas Artes de Tenerife (Calle Castillo, 43) is going back to the theatre stage after 30 years without permanent programming.

It does so at the hand of promoter Sandro Nerilli, who has launched the First Season of Performing Arts, which starts on Thursday, September 29th and continues until October 30th.

At a press conference held at the headquarters of the Circle, the president Dulce Xerach said that “one of the most important projects was to bring the theatre back to the Circle again, since for more than 30 years, this cultural space has not had a permanent theatrical season.”

She stressed that with this new season “we do not intend to compete with large theatres like the Guimerá or Leal, but we want to propose a new offer, different and adapted to the times, with current issues”.

The president revealed they had joined five productions “to reach the public more effectively”, an effort made possible, thanks to the willingness of theatre groups of the island.

She also stressed that the new theatre’s seasons are open to all companies that want to participate and contact can be made through the website of the Circle or social networks.

She said “this theatre is a magical and unique place in the world”, referring to the mural by 46 artists showing different images of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The new adaptation of the facilities of the theatre is another novelty presented with this new season, as stated by the producer Sandro Nerilli. “We have made a great effort to equip the room to adapt and improve it.”

The programme will feature various functions that deal with humour and fun for adults, to entertainment and magic for the smallest. Tickets can be purchased at the box office www.tomaticket.es atr a price of 8 euros for adults and five euros for children.

The season incudes shows such as Puss in Boots, a show of mentalism and magic and “A toast to happiness” every Saturday in October at 9pm.
