Sign of the times in El Rosario
Tourist attractions in Tenerife aren’t all in obvious places, as the municipality of El Rosario is trying to demonstrate.
The local council has invested in a series of new signs which will point the way to places of interest in the historic centre of La Esperanza.
The Mayor Escolástico Gil has been leading the project with the road safety department.
Some of the signs point to places people need to know about, such as the police station, the church of Nuestra Seueñora de La Esperanza and the footpath network.
There are also new signs at the entrance to calle El Calvario, between the plaza del Adelantado and calle Grano de Oro and on the TF-24.
The Mayor explained: “These new signs aim to improve the visibility of points of interest located in the town, both for the residents of the municipality, as well as for the many visitors who travel along the TF-24, both in the direction of the National Park Teide and towards San Cristobal de La Laguna.”
