Council gives out 2,000 kilos of rat products
Los Realejos has signalled its intention to help farmers and landowners with rat control this summer.
The local council is to distribute 2,000 kilos of rat control products, with the distribution request to be handled by Rural Development and Realserv.
Requests can be submitted up until May 27th or until stocks last at the offices of Realserv.
The Mayor of Los Realejos, Manuel Dominguez said they were repeating the help scheme because “many residents, especially in the mid-areas, encounter at certain times of the year problems in their farms and livestock because of the presence of rodents, which affects the quality and development of production and hygiene and sanitation conditions.”
Councillor for municipal services, Domingo García said the campaign was in addition to the one carried out by Realserv in cleaning and gardens with authorised products for public spaces, recreation areas or by ravines to prevent them from becoming infected.
