Icod residents given more time over General Plan

Icod de los Vinos has expanded the consultation period over its General Plan.

The local council wants to give people more time to comment on the proposals so another 45 working days were recently added.

Interested parties are invited to submit their views and suggestions on the various modifications.

This will be the final step towards approval of the General Plan and covers most of the land in the municipality, with the exception of the Los Acantilados de la Culata and the historic old town.

All the plan details can be seen in the municipal offices.

Consultations in person can be made via prior appointments through the council offices on 922 86 96 00.

The public opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 13:00 and 16:00 to 19:00 hours; and Saturday from 10am to 14:00.

You can also consult the Plan on the website http://pgoicod.com, site which contains the whole document.

An awareness campaign about the drawing up of the General Plan has been taking place across the municipality.

The council says it is absolutely vital to have a new updated plan for the good of the district and to bring “the necessary stability to the municipal territory.”
