Council presses for youth house work to be unfrozen

El Rosario is pressing for work to restart on the Youth House at La Esperanza.

The project was frozen in October 2011 after the contractor went into bankruptcy proceedings.

Representatives of Tenerife Cabildo have been visiting various municipalities to discuss pressing needs and in the case of El Rosario, this was one of the priorities.

The meeting was chaired by the Mayor, Escolástico Gil who explained the situation to the Cabildo’s director of culture and education, José Luis Rivero.

Another issue raised was the need to refurbish the headquarters of the Cultural Musical Association “Princesa Yaiza” which has humidity problems.

The local council felt Sr. Gil was very receptive to their requests and to solve the problems.
