Spain prepares to go to the polls
It might be the run-up to Christmas but Spain is also in election mode as campaigning opens for the General Election on December 20th.
Corruption, unemployment, the fight against Islamic extremism and Cataluña are all major issues which the politicians will be addressing as they go out and about on the election trail.
More than 36 million people will have the right to vote though latest opinion polls suggest 40 per cent of them won’t make up their minds until the last minute.
Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy has been touring the country and the PP looks like being returned to power but possibly without an overall majority which means pacts are likely. The PSOE should retain second place but possibly with less seats.
