Thrilling display of water skiing in Costa Adeje
There was a spectacular display of line water skiing in Adeje which even the bad weather could not spoil.
The “Open Internacional de Carreras de Esquí Náutico” brought together some great Canary sportsmen and women, courtesy of the Canary Ski Federation.
Bad weather meant racing on the Saturday could not go ahead so Sunday proved a very busy day at Puerto Colon, reports IAN MONTGOMERY.
There were a number of events, involving youngsters as well which all proved very exciting and against the clock, with some European and world stars taking part.
There was also a fun race with speeds of up to 73 kilometres an hour being achieved.
The organising committee would like to thank everyone who gave their collaboration and support, including the sponsors and of course, the fans.
Special mention to Adeje council, Tenerife Cabildo, Deportes Tenerife, Sofican, GF Hoteles, Náutica El Pris, Actividades Náuticas de Tenerife, Turismo Tenerife, Puerto Colon, Powerboatracing.be, the Canary Government, Protección Civil de Tacoronte and the IWWF.
In turn, there were thank from the visiting teams for the hospitality shown and the great display put on by Tenerife.
