San Miguel joins fight against airport “intrusion”
Granadilla’s campaign to crackdown on illegal airport lifts has been backed by San Miguel council.
The two authorities have now joined forces to combat “intrusion”, both at Tenerife Sur and tourist areas.
A meeting has been held to discuss the way ahead and as well as politicians, representatives of the police were present.
Taxis from both municipalities are said to be the most affected by illegal lifts and therefore their families as well.
The Mayor of Granadilla, Jaime González Cejas said it was essential to combine efforts to combat this problem affecting the public transport sector.
Security councillor for Granadilla, Nicolás Jorge said measures would include better co-ordination between the police services.
