Playa Blanca to get new bike path
Work costing nearly 130,000 euros is to be carried out to improve the image of the Yaiza entrance to Playa Blanca on Lanzarote.
The project will include the construction of a bike path, pavement for pedestrians and gardens.
Cabildo president, Pedro San Ginés said it had been designed not only to beautify the area but also to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists. This part of Playa Blanca is used by hundreds of people each day, including many tourists.
The project has been awarded to Transportes y Excavaciones Tiagua, S.L. and will take four months. The new bike path will connect to routes already created.
