Man saved from drowning

A man has been saved from drowning in Fuerteventura.

The emergency services initially received a call that three people were in trouble in the sea off Playa del Moro in Corralejo, La Oliva.

Shortly afterwards, they were told that they had been rescued but one man, aged 28, needed urgent medical care.

SUC staff treated the swimmer at a health care centre before he was taken to hospital with symptoms of near drowning. His condition was described as non serious.
