A tour round La Pepa Food market
La Pepa, a fantastic food emporium to discover in Los Cristianos
It’s been described as the best kept secret in Tenerife but thousands of people already know about La Pepa, the wonderful indoor food market in Los Cristianos.
If you haven’t, make sure you go along to the top floor of the Passarella Oassis commercial centre which is in walking distance from the bus station and the Apolo centre (virtually two blocks along).
There are nearly 30 food and drink businesses represented here and you can eat on the premises or buy to take away. The choice is so enormous you could come back time and time again and never duplicate!
It’s a fantastic place open every day 10am to midnight and has a huge open-air terrace with a great atmosphere. Our special spotlight will undoubtedly tempt you!
K Vegan Delicatessen Vegetarians
You don’t have to be a vegan to enjoy the food served here. The dishes on display look very tempting, including the veggie hamburgers and wraps. Perhaps have some papas bravas or croquettes or humus, all fresly prepared and made, of course. Try also the empanadas or a salad or their delicious rice.
Italian food with plenty of pasta, pizza and bruschetta to choose from. Lasagne, focaccia, spaghetti. Everything in the display cabinet looks so tempting. You can buy per portion so you can mix and match if you want with different toppings to choose from.
If you think the Spanish can’t do cakes, think again. Mouth-watering gateaux, cakes (how could you resist chocolate or lemon meringue?), breads, rolls. Gift boxes of chocolates. Typical Canary products. Buy the cakes whole or by the slice, to eat in or take away.
