Science can be cool, says the Canary Government as it aims to bring a fresh new approach to an annual festival.
The eleventh edition of the Weeks of Sciene and Innovation in the Canaries takes place from November 9th to 22nd.
The Canary Agency for Research has just released details of the new event which is based on the International Year of Light and light-based technologies.
This is the biggest science event of the year in the archipelago and takes place in various locations across the islands, with admission free of charge to all members of the public.
The organisers want everyone to be interested in this subject and intend to present the events in an interesting and fun way.
There will be open days, guided tours, courses, workshops, educational tours and excursions, panel discussions, lectures and conferences, exhibitions, multimedia, cinema, theatre and workshops.
