Huge response to La Laguna tapas route

More than 100 establishments are taking part in a tapas route in La Laguna.

Restaurants, pubs, cafes and bars are joining together for the VIII Ruta de la Tapa por San Benito organised by traders in the open zone.

Each tapas dish costs just three euros, inclusive of a glass of wine, water, soft drink or beer.

The participants are in San Benito, Valle Guerra, Punta del Hidalgo, La Cruz Chica, Guamasa, San Bartolomé de Geneto, Las Chumberas and the Alcampo commercial centre. Each will show a poster so people know they are part of the route.

Those who go to to at least ten locations and fill in passports stand to win meals and for 12 and more, a break away in the south of Tenerife. There will also be accolades for the best tapas dishes.

The event runs until the end of July and maps are available at various locations, incouding at Alcampo and local tourist information points in La Laguna.
