Ugly unfinished buildings
We read with interest the letter in your last edition about the eye-sore building on the beach of Los Cristianos.
Once you start to look more closely, you realise Tenerife is full of similar properties which let’s face it, do nothing for the image of a tourist island.
There are unfinished buildings all over the place. You can understood the blocks of unfinished flats or hotels because constructors were hard hit by the recession. We can only hope that one day soon, work on these can restart.
But elswhere, you see other houses or properties standing in ruins or still in shells. Shouldn’t there be some sort of law which states that after a certain time, they should be finished or demolished? Ot perhaps there already is but people ignore it. Can anyone enlighten us?
