Adeje school of dance and music showcases its talents
This Christmas, the spotlight has fallen on the Municipal School of Music and Dance in Adeje and its popularity is soaring.
Organisers are delighted with the response to a series of auditions which culminated in festive performances so that the students could show their parents, families and friends everything they had learned.
Modern singing, violin, cello, drums, piano, sax, bass, jazz workshop, children’s band, symphonic percussion, flute, oboe, modern guitar, clarinet, music and movement were amongst the many disciplines featured.
Participation, said councillor Adolfo Alonso Ferrera, was very high; in fact, EMMA currently houses more than 700 people of different ages.
In addition to the auditions, the venture was also a showcase for the superb facilities at the school which is located in Las Torres.
During January, it is planned to hold some open house events in the speciality of dance, especially on January 28th and 29th.
The next auditions will be held in June to coincide with the end of the school year.
