Get to know Isla Baja with fourth Tapas Route
A new tapas route offers the perfect opportunity to revisit or get to know the lovely Isla Baja area of Tenerife.
Nine restaurants in Garachico are taking part, together with ten in Los Silos, four in El Tanque and four in Buenavista.
This fourth tapas route opens on September 25th and continues through to October 12th under the title of “IV Ruta Comarcal de la Tapa “D’ Tapas por la Isla Baja”.
One of the new features this year is sponsorship from Cerveza Mahou who have joined Cobega with their support.
Discovering new restaurants and new tastes is, of course, one of the biggest attractions of the tapas trail but you can also win some great prizes. Everyone who gives their support is asked to fill in a card giving scores for the dishes they taste and when these are handed in, they go into a prize draw. There are also prizes for the best restaurants, including two to be judged by professionals.
The Isla Baja area of Tenerife is often described as its hidden secret and offers beautiful countryside and tranquillity away from the main tourist areas.
The tapas route is very much designed to pull people in, as well as to promote the gastronomy and wine of the island. You can find out more on www.consorcioislabaja.com
