Russian swimmers prepare for Rio
Russia’s Olympic swimming team is in Tenerife to prepare for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Sixty swimmers, including 15 of the meda-llists at the World Junior Championships in Dubai, chose the elite Tenerife Top Training centre in Costa Adeje for three weeks of training. European cham-pions are also part of the squad which will remain in the south until February 14th.
The Russian visitors follow a long line of top athletes who have enjoyed the outstanding facilities at the training centre which has placed itself as one of the world’s most modern and innovative training complexes.
Many of the swimmers have taken podium spots at European and World championships and will be hoping to do the same in Rio.
