October Sure Was Busy

Oh yes, we made 17 Adoptions (one of which was to the UK), two doggies have gone on trial and one is reserved. Thank you to all who made this possible; you know who you are.

Jack, an Update

Jack, the wee Yorkie from last week who was hit by a car then thrown into a reservoir to drown, has had extensive surgery this week. At the time of writing, he has been for well over a week with our vet, Cesar Bertoldi who is on a mission to save him, as we all are. He is trying to save the very badly damaged hip and back leg on the right hand side, which appears to have taken the brunt of the collision. Pins and plates have been inserted, he will be like the bionic dog. We thank Cesar from our hearts for once again “going the extra mile” for one of our animals. Oh, and the really good news, Jack is to be adopted by one of our long term supporters. He will have a fantastic life despite his disabilities.

Puppies, puppies, puppies all around…..

…are just everywhere at the moment and we are struggling to find foster/permanent homes for them. If you could help with fostering please call Steve on 634 819410. It won’t cost you a cent, all food and vet costs are covered by us, but it can be very rewarding as you care for a very young dog during the first weeks and months of its life. Puppiles from a litter are up for adoption, all girls, and just over three months old. They are delightful, and if you would like to adopt one the usual fee of €140 applies, for which all vaccinations, chip and sterilisation at six months old are included.
