Four-way tapas route to enjoy

A new tapas route for the north-east of Tenerife will give people a great reason to discover the delights of Bajamar, Punta del Hidalgo, Tejina and Valle de Guerra.

“La Tapa de la Comarca Nordeste” takes place from November 1st to the 30th and a drink and snack will cost just 2.50 euros.

The restaurants taking part will win prizes but customers can as well, with the star being a weekend for two at the Hotel Rural Costa Salada.

More than 30 establishments are taking part and La Laguna’s councillor for the economy, Juan Antonio Alonso hopes it will boost trade as well as showing people what these lovely areas have to offer. He also praised the “excellent co-operation” of traders in these four areas.

Customers will be asked to score each establishment and fill in a card and there will also be a ten euro voucher for all who complete the entire tapas route (to be spent in one of the restaurants).

All of the places taking part are listed on www.aytolala-guna.com (click on the icon showing the tapas route poster).
