Toy library encourages parents

Organisers of a municipal playscheme held in El Médano plaza hope it will encourage parents to support a permanent scheme.

Hundreds of children enjoyed the free service during the summer months, courtesy of the local council’s education department. This was part of a diverse programme of activities in El Médano and took place for three hours each day.

The scheme has now closed but councillor in charge, Sara Cano Delgado has issued a reminder about the local toy library “El Cocodrilo” which is usually held in the Almer building. It is aimed at youngsters aged three to 14, Monday to Friday afternoons.

The council would welcome the involvement of parents and their ideas for projects and improvements.
