Clowning around in El Rosario

Theatre and classical music have been taking centre-stage in El Rosario this September and there is still more to come.

These special events are a great reason to visit and discover this lovely municipality in the north-eastern part of the island. Falling within the Santa Cruz province, it has its own unique character and charm.

The local council’s culture department has been staging various free attractions which included a workshop for young people on their personal health and a concert by the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra. This was specifically intended to bring their music to areas of the island where access to the major venues might have been more difficult.

Two theatrical shows have also been organised for children, including “A Walk amongst Ghosts” which proved a great success last week. The second takes place on Saturday, September 21st and is called “Clownando”, courtesy of the company Reymala. The concept is based on the classic clown and will be enjoyed by all ages, not just youngsters. The show starts at 6pm in the Casa de la Juventud in El Chorrillo.
