Live Arico rock the top square – again
Our benefits on the Top Square, Golf del Sur are always legendary and the most recent event was no exception. It is not only the quality of the entertainment, it is the willingness of the owners and staff to participate and strive to think of new ideas to make each night better than the last.
A packed house was treated to the lovely ladies Kerry Railton, Vicki Denton and Indiana, with a bit of 70s by Robbie Dominic thrown in. Then Dave from Slippers Bar gave us a bit of swing, followed by the gorgeous Caroline from the Emerald Lounge with some traditional Irish music played on the squeezebox. Dave Slippers and Sean Wren gave a rendition of Elton John and Kiki Dee’s “Don’t go breaking my heart” – the audience loved it all. No less than 70 bottles of wine had been collected for the raffle, amongst other prizes and a great night was had by all with 617 euros raised various projects being managed by us at this moment in time. Finally our very own Suzy Q, who had held the evening together, teamed up with Caroline and Stella from the Emerald for an unexpected display of Irish Dancing to the Riverdance. Many thanks to all who came, supported, sang, danced, dressed up, sold raffle tickets, you all played your part and you know who you are. Check out photos and videos on our Facebook page and come to the next three monthly event at the end of September. What can we do next to better this one ??
The Live Arico Paws permanent foster programme
The puppies are easy to find homes for, ditto the small, the cute. But what about the ones that get overlooked? The older the dog, the harder it is to find a forever home. No one wants to take on a dog only to find a huge vet bills lurking around the corner. But we believe every dog deserves a chance, so any dog over 10 years old we offer as a permanent foster dog. This means the dog stays legally ours and we pay all vet care and medicines. All he will cost you is food, a roof over his head and your love for the rest of his life. He may be with you for years, we hope so, or he may be with you for only a few months, but you will have given him love and stability at the end. It takes a special kind of person to do this and we are looking for that person right now, to take our Bruno. He is ten years old and has been with us nearly all his life. Obviously he is shy as a result but a little TLC will sort that out. Can you give Bruno some happiness ? If so, call Sue on 629 388102.
Sterilisation campaign nearing its end – hurry up
For the month of June we are offering HUGE discounts on sterilisations in collaboration with Hospivet Sur in Las Chafiras. As prices depend on the sex and weight of the animal (cats included!!!) please consult our Facebook page for a quotation, or call us on 629 388102.
