Golf, fun and nature for the young
Young golfers might be interested to hear about a summer camp taking place at Buenavista Golf.
The “II Campus Golf&Naturaleza” began on July 7th and continues until July 13th so there may still be time to take part and places available. It is aimed at youngsters aged from eight to 16 and is sponsored by Tourism of Tenerife.
There are introductory and advanced courses taught by three golfing graduates and also counts on the support of Tenerife’s professional player, Luis Claveríe.
The event was presented by vice-president of Tenerife Cabildo, Cristina Valido who was joined by the manager of Buenavista Golf, Alberto González and representative of Sporteam Consulting, José Carlos Hernández Rizo.
Cristina Valido said the camp was a wonderful opportunity as it was staged in the beautiful Teno Rural Park, amid spectacular scenery and counted on the excellent facilities of Buenavista Golf. In short, it combined sport and nature with golf as the main activity.
There will be golf each day but participants will also enjoy outings, including hiking and a treasure hunt.
