A clinic for creatures “great & small”
Many people will remember the “All Creatures Great and Small” TV series and books starring the famous vet James Herriot. For German vet, Kirstin Oberhäuser, these tales have even more significance because they inspired her to study veterinary medicine in Berlin.
Rather than taking care of local farm animals, she worked in different private practices and veterinary hospitals in Germany and Switzerland.
Since 2008, Kirstin has lived in Tenerife and has fallen in love with the island and its people.
After five more years working as an employee, she fulfilled her dream of her own private practice where her total dedication to the care of animals shines through.
Clinica Veterinara “La Montaña” in Los Realejos is a modern practice offering professional treatment for your pets. Beyond that, however, Kirstin has created a place where animals and humans alike can feel good.
The team here, including Natalia the veterinary nurse and the pet groomer, know what is best for your pet and can recommend the best nutrition.
“You are our number one and we take special care of your pet and its problems,” says Kirstin who is delighted that “All Creatures Great and Small” inspired her vision.
Clinica Veterinara “La Montaña” offers a wide range of services, including con-sultations, surgery, radiogra-phs, nutrition, grooming, hospitalisation and has an in-house laboratory. There is also a home service.
