Travelling to Germany

This cheeky little chap Bruno has been feeling the cold with the recent bad weather but he is one of the lucky dogs and has recently been adopted.

There are so many dogs at the refuge all looking for new loving homes of all sizes, breeds and ages, like this gorgeous husky cross who joined us on our walk last week, He is such a lovely happy dog and very friendly. Please do visit or call the refuge on 922778630 for more information .

Accion del Sol’s educational programme is continuing with schools from near and far visiting the refuge. The children have first hand experience of animal welfare, learning the importance of caring, handling, feeding, basic veterinary care and much more in the hope of improving the dire situation for animals here in Tenerife.

Accion del Sol are des-perately looking for people who are travelling to Dùssel-dorf, Hamburg, Berlin, Frank-furt, Cologne, Stuttgart or Munich who would be willing to take a dog with them. It costs you nothing but a little bit of your time and it gives dogs a chance of a new life in Germany. Sometimes it’s easier to rehome larger dogs or special needs dogs in Germany rather than Tenerife. Accion del Sol is completely responsible for the dog and Aktion Tier staff will do all the necessary paperwork and meet you at both airports and in Germany the dog will be collected upon your arrival at the chosen airport. Please email acciondelsol@gmail.com or call 922778630 for more information if you are travelling to any of these destinations and would like to help the dogs to a better life.

Please call 922778630 for more information or if you would like to help out in anyway. Towels and blankets are always needed for the dogs if you have any to spare. They would be very much appre-ciated by our four legged friends. The refuge is situated at Poligono De Industrial Estate, Granadilla, Exit 51 on the TF1, directly next to ITER the Parque Eolica where the windmills are and it is open to the public Monday – Friday 3pm-6pm if you are interested in adopting a dog or maybe just taking a dog or two for a leisurely walk.
