Shock of dead dogs
Feb 6th, 2013
Shock and outrage has followed news of another case of animal cruelty in Tenerife. A police investigation is underway after the bodies of a dozen dogs were found in the bottom of a ravine in Arona. It is believed at least two of the animals were still alive when they were thrown in. One man has already been imputed on suspicion of animal abuse but the Civil Guard believes others may have been involved. Members of the police nature conservation team Seprona found the bodies after an environmental group raised the alert. Most were Canario hounds and were in an advanced state of decomposition.
