Puerto becomes a big blue carpet 

Puerto de la Cruz has thanked all the volunteers who helped to make the arrival of the Three Kings such a success.
More than 10,000 people watched the parade which started at the Castle of San Felipe and concluded at the Plaza de Europa where it was welcomed by the Mayor, Marcos Brito.
Councillor responsible for fiestas, Juan Carlos Marrero said the event had been a great success and he congratulated everyone involved.
Monitored by more than 160 volunteers, the parade was greeted with applause from the crowds who lined the pavements, particularly in the Plaza del Charco. Here, the procession resembled a big blue carpet to symbolise the ocean and the sailors of yesteryear from Puerto.
An exhibition of important nativity scenes in the Casa Ventoso was also a huge success attracting 27,800 pe-ople. This was one of the largest displays of its kind in the archipelago.
In all, there were about 125 Christmas events and activities in Puerto
