Tenerife is aiming to boost its popularity in Belgium.

A new flight linking the island with Brussels has been welcomed by tourism chiefs who say it is excellent news.
During 2009, Tenerife had 120,000 tourists from Belgium which was 11% up on the previous year and this figure is expected to rise in 2010.
The new flight is being operated by Ryanair and will link Tenerife with the Charleroi de Bruselas airport.
Tenerife is very popular in Belgium and one in three of the visitors who come to the Canary Islands choose Tenerife as their destination. They enjoy the sun, beaches, temperature, tranquility and landscape.
Belgians represent 2.5 per cent of the 4,700,000 holiday-makers who came to Tenerife last year. Their average age is 47 and they have an above average income.
Surveys show they put their satisfaction level of Tenerife at 7.69 points out of ten, quoting the quality of accommodation and personal security as two important factors.
This new flight adds to the 14 routes Ryanair already operates into Tenerife from locations which include Ireland, the UK, Italy and Portugal.
