An action packed year for Estrellas Theatre School
They recently held their end of year show at the Auditorio of El Sauzal which brought together a huge amount of talent from students of the north and south schools. Parents and friends were treated to an afternoon that included the “cute factor” from the tiny Estrellitas and the “wow factor” from the older students who performed an array of wonderful songs and fabulous dances.
Hot off the press, Estrellas Theatre School are delighted to announce that the three students who auditioned for the Sound of Music were chosen to perform along with 40 professional actors and actresses in this highly acclaimed show. This well-loved family musical was held from December 27th until January 2nd in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Dominique James Baute, Miranda and Gabriela González were thrilled to work on such an exciting project.
Estrellas Theatre School is going from strength to strength and never seems to be out of the public eye. Students have just completed five days of LAMDA examinations with Ann Newson, a senior team leader from LAMDA headquarters who came to examine the children in Acting, Musical Theatre and for the very first time, Public Speaking. Maureen Sands, Principal of Estrellas Theatre School believes these examinations provide the children with essential life skills and is eagerly awaiting the results which are always extremely high. Earlier this year The London Academy of Music and Dramatical Art invited Maureen over their London headquarters to meet with them where she was commended for her outstanding results and the professionalism within Estrellas Theatre School.
Maureen is now busy planning the 2012 show which once again promises to be a summer extravaganza, following the success of Grease held at the Magma Centre in Las Américas and The Tenerife Palace in Puerto de la Cruz. In the meantime a big thank you to all parents and friends for their continuous support which is much appreciated.
