On Saturday, 21 January, Lodge Teide celebrated the annual Ladies Festival.
Worshipful Master John Hughes and his wife, Maeve, welcomed 67 guests at the Hotel El Tope in Puerto de la Cruz.
The evening began with official photographs, followed by wine and tapas and then a splendid five course meal. The chef was complimented on the meal and the service, as usual, was superb.
The evening continued with toasts and the speech to Mrs Maeve Hughes, given by Rt.W.Bro Gerry Ruben, was very amusing and appreciated by all present.
Thanks to the generosity of those present, the raffle raised over €500 and this will be added to the monies already raised and will be donated to local charities in the near future.
The next event will be the Lodge’s birthday which will be celebrated on Sunday, 18 March with a lunch at the Monasterio. On this occasion, the Lodge is playing host to a Masonic Lodge from Somerset. Anyone wishing to attend can call John Hughes on 922 382229.
