Margaret Holt (65) was on holiday in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote when she went missing while out walking. She was due to have flown home on December 29 but did not show up at the airport.When she failed to make contact with her family over Christmas they raised the alarm on December 26, which resulted in a full scale search by the Guardia Civíl and local emergency services.
She was last seen on on December 23 and to date there has been no sign of her. Now a local tour guide has taken charge of the search with members of a hikers association starting Wednesday, in conjunction with local authorities who have agreed to restart the hunt. Hang-gliders are also being asked to search for Mrs Holt from the air.
