Margaret Holt, a 65-year-old British tourist from Merseside who disappeared in Lanzarote on December 23 while hiking, was last seen near the Volcán de La Corona.She was reported missing by her family who raised the alarm on December 26 when they became concerned that they had not heard from her for a few days.
Now, nearly a full week later, the search and rescue has been widened to include two helicopters, lifeboats, search and rescue teams, police and firemen.
She is described as being 1.65m tall, slim with brown hair. She was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt, Bermuda-style light brown shorts, white sandals and carrying a black bag.
If anyone has seen her or knows of her whereabouts, please call emergency services on 112, bomberos on 080 or the Guardia Civíl on 062.
