A 48-year old man, J.G.C. was discovered by a Dutch walker on a walking trail in the hills.

He had been reported missing on Monday last week and discovered the next morning.
Mountain Rescue services from Tenerife retrieved the body by helicopter, and he was flown to Gomera's capital San Sebastián where an autopsy was due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.
